Where To Stay

The best way to approach this is to choose the district that appeals to you and then to find accommodation there. Before that, you may be interested to see how you can get more value and stay in affordable apartments instead of hotels.

Apartment Stays

If you are staying for 2 or 3 nights, we’d recommend booking an apartment instead of a hotel.

The number 1 website for apartment bookings is www.airbnb.com.

If you use Airbnb then contact us first before opening an account. If we invite you before you open an account, then you get $25 travel credit, according to them.

Some people rent apartments out for 2 nights as well, so it is certainly worth trying if you are over for 2 nights.

Where You Can Stay

If you use the following guide, you should be able to find a place to lay your head that is strategically situated within walking distance of the evening event and not so far from the daytime civil wedding.

Taxis are not easy to come by so if you can walk home at night, it would be much better.

Once you’ve decided on your district, head over to either airbnb.com, booking.com or hotels.com to find somewhere in your price range by using the map of the website and the metro stations as pointers.

4th District – 4ème, 75004

Distance from evening venue: 1.7km, 1 mile or 15-20 minute walk

Distance from town hall in the 10th: 2km, 1.5 miles or 25 minute walk

Le Marais is our favourite part of Paris. There’s plenty of life in the bustling streets at any time of the day. You’ll find quaint restaurants, cute cafés, hip bars and so on…

The 5th has plenty of charm and sites to see and like the neighbouring 6th, can be a bit pricier than other areas. It is  close to Quai Saint Bernard that it’ll be hard to resist for some people though.

Very safe, convenient and central, the 3rd is a desirable place to live. The south of the 10th is the area where the town hall is located and is very mixed and up and coming.

The 2nd is also quite close, reasonably affordable and very central

In both of these areas there is plenty to do, see eat and more afforable places to stay.
